Young girl with lilies - XIXth century

This painting depicts the beauty of a young girl all adorned with innocence. His gaze turned towards the viewer is serious even if his lips sketch a slight smile a little mischievous. A multicolored turban holds back her jet-black hair and matches her pink dress dotted with patterns, while a lace ruff adorns her breastplate partially covered with a multi-row necklace of red pearls. The lilies emblem of pure love but also of fertility are held in her left hand, while her right hand ostensibly shows us a single flower, as if by this gesture she wanted to make us understand that one and only love was possible.
