Amazing pair of Medici vase in alabaster of Volterra mounted on gilt bronze. Louis XVI style, there are 19th century and extremely decorative. Lovely when the light gets through.

Volterra is a town in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. The tradition of sculpting their local alabaster dates to the Etruscan and Roman period.
