Wall fountain covered in polychrome earthenware decorated with putti, olive branches and phoenix with wings spread. This fountain consists of a baluster tank resting on a pedestal, topped with a lid. The body of the tank is covered with an atypical decoration of various "putti" in the round perched on olive branches, laden with fruit, punctuated by a spillway with a mythological marine leonine animal. The cover in waterbowl is topped by a phoenix resting on a bed of foliage and roses always in the round. The whole is covered with a fine polychrome decoration of multiple flowers, buttons, butterflies and other insects of the most fashionable in the eighteenth century. Work of the south of France very influenced by the style Nove Di Bassano of Tuscany. Good general condition, it should be noted that a wing of the phoenix has been restored as well as a small recovery on the peripheral base of the lid.
Dimensions: height 52cm - width 27cm.
