Mirrors have been the great pleasure of the 17th century ladies who enriched their appartements with many of them as testifies inventories of property.
This little mirror has a darkened wood frame and is topped by a pyramidal pediment. Inlaid embossed brass sheets are adorned with leaves and flowers.
This mirror imitates the Venitian mirror’s structure although its brass sheets use and decor is typical of late 17th century french work.
