The decoration of cranes posed and watering or in flight on the other face is entirely lacquered in hira and takamaki-e in gold and silver on a background in togidashi and nashiji clouds. A stream ripples nicely among the cranes. Ojime is in carnelian. The round-shaped kagamibuta with a shibuishi plate depicts the god Fukurukuju holding an unfolded scroll with a crane by his side. With an iincised signature of Munetomo. The kagamibuta has a small restoration visible in the photos. H8cm.
