French writing table finely veneered in bois de violette (viola wood)
Period 1750 Paris. Extremely rare piece of furniture in excellent condition.
It has the possibility of decomposing into 2 to be used in bed as a desk and on the wall or in the center as a normal desk. The servants could lay only the upper part on the bed allowing a very comfortable breakfast. The table that remains on the ground is finished with a second floor in marqueterie where you can admire the beauty of the violet wood that has never undergone the chromatic changes of the sun. The lines are very refined and the finishes of the wooden edges are always of top violet. The internal chest of drawers has a series of exceptional rounded shapes and the walnut wood on the sides is very fine. The forged iron locks and the keys with chiseled and gilded bronze heads are all original. A real gem for a collector. The leather inside the hatch is its original from the 18th century. The piece of furniture is on the international market and is ready to go to any destination as it already comes with a valid free circulation permit to leave Italy regularly.
