Pair of European marble “fo dog” sculptures, 1920

Fo dog sculptures in white marble made in the 1920s for a villa in Liguria.
Presumably made by artisans from Versilia or from Florence.
They are handmade, not to be confused with the thousands of poor quality copies
which have been reproduced throughout the last century.
Measurements: 34 x 22 cm height 56 cm, about 50 kg each.
