Gold flat case of oblong shape. The hinged lid, the sides and the base are decorated with fine "fish scale" guilloché. A fine frieze of scrolls on a amati gold background frames this composition. On the rim, a small puscher is slightly realized. This type of box or case was most probably intended as a toiletry kit. It could have contained either tongue scrapers or curettes or vergettes.... or other toilet and hygiene utensils in use in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
