With a flat border, the scene is placed under a series of three tri-lobed arches falling on consoles, surmounted by gables underlined by leafy hooks. On the right, the Virgin is enthroned and crowned, supporting the Child standing on her knee. The latter is holding the golden disk handed to him by the oldest of the Magi, kneeling in the foreground, his crown in his hand. Behind him a Magi, holding a vase with a lid, plays with the cord of his cloak. The third is pointing to the star with his gloved hand.
