A 1400s Florentine Amorino / Spiritello cast in bronze stylistically related to Verrocchio. Balanced on one foot, he shares this aspect with Verrocchio's Winged Cherub fountain figure in Florence, although it is clearly not a copy of this sculpture. It also shares this balance and movement with the celebrated Mercury of Giambologna a century later. A unique cast with a rich layered patina with no other known versions located in the literature.
Measures 16.5 cm with antique ebony socle.
