Billiard chandelier - first half XIXth century

The history of billiards is old, but it was in the 17th century that it developed; Cardinal Richelieu liked to play it just like Louis XIV that we see in certain prints playing with his brother and the Count of Toulouse. Throughout the eighteenth century it will be the same at the court: Versailles, Fontainebleau will have a billiard room, and at the end of the century there will be eight hundred billiards in the rooms of Paris. The Empire was not to be outdone, Napoleon played billiards and the tradition continued throughout the 19th century.
