Represented standing in tribhanga, the bodhisattva holds in his hands the stems of the lotus which bloom above his shoulders, supporting the attributes, sword and book, which allow him to be identified.
It is richly adorned and topped with a high bun in a stylistic combination combining elements borrowed from models of India Pala with the contributions of Newars artists. A quadrangular hole in the back originally allowed a consecration charge to be attached. Small consolidations and visible recoveries at the level of the feet.
