Description: Louis XVI Neapolitan chest of drawers with high cabinetry veneered with walnut heather and inlaid with precious woods and surmounted by a white statuary marble top. This magnificent chest of drawers can be dated between 1740/50 in full transition between the Louis XV style and the Louis XVI style. The facade is marked by two large drawers arranged in two levels of herringbone slab with a diamond-shaped design in the center which is depicted both on the front and on the sides. The circular handles have a typical period floral chisel in the center. Conditions: Restored by our master craftsmen with the traditional method of shellac and artisanal alcohol. Origin: Naples.
