Carlo Leopoldo Grevenbroeck was an Italian painter of Dutch origins. He’s mainly known for his landscapes, portscenes, views of Paris, Naples and seascapes. He has distinguished himself as a diligent and meticulous executor. Grevenbroeck’s production is inspired by the late seventeenth-century Dutch landscape tradition.
The seascapes and landscape are constructed with ingredients and leitmotifs derived from his family of painters. He uses a refined touch and sensitivity, characterized by cold bluish tones and a rosy luminosity for the sky, which become ocher-orange in the foregrounds for the soil and rochts.
