18th a early 19th centuries french furniture and works of art
Table "Tric Trac" in mahogany of Cuba resting on four tapered and fluted legs ended by small bronze shoes. Two small drawers in the belt are placed in opposition. Removable tray having kept its magnificent marquetry decoration made of ash, mahogany and burr walnut. In the center a chessboard in ivory and ebony circled with brass nets. The reverse side of the tray is covered with its old black felt sheet. The interior of the furniture is classically composed of a set of backgammon inlaid with ivory and tinted ivory on a background of ebony veneer. Old cracks in the ebony restored. Furniture in very good condition. Delivered with its complete set of thirty ivory chips. France, circa 1780.
