Furniture and Works of Art of the 18th century
A rare chest of drawers decorated with marquetry of rosewood and green-tinted sycamore cubes, with kingwood frame.
It is embellished with an exceptional finely ormolu trim. It rests on curved uprights, terminated by arched feet adorned with bronze hooves.
It opens with two drawers without crossbar and the handles allowing their opening are inserted in the bronze frame of the facade.
The ormolu cartridges, front and side perfectly match the frames of violet wood.

This chest of drawers is the perfect illustration of the Rocaille Flamboyant style.
