Two "bergères" armchairs with flat back in moulded, sculptedand patina wood decorated with flowers and acanthus leaves. The armrest in wave-shaped lines. Le piètement mouvementé terminé par des enroulements. The shaped line base terminated by scrolls. Restoration (woodworking and tissue). The armchairs are in good condition and are garnished by a very nice silk by the Maison Lelièvre.

Jean-René Nadal (1733-1783) called Nadal l'aîné was a carpenter - sculptor. He was received "Maître" the 22nd Septembre 1756. During his career, he worked mainly for the King and for the Artois earl for whom he executed a number of chairs. Jean-René Nadal terminated its activities in the 1780's.
