4-Case Inro of a Samouraï and Child

Rounded in shape, on a kinji gold lacquer base, the decoration in gold hira and takamaki-e red and black and gold polychromy represents a samurai with a child carrying his sword on one side. On the other side a woman is seated in front of a table or an embroidery loom. signed kakosai.
The kagamibuta bowl is made of ivory and inlaid with shibayama on a shibuichi plate of a flying goose. signed Shibayama. 19th century Edo.
