Eugène Aizelin is a sculptor born in Paris (1821/1902) entered the School of Fine Arts in 1842 trained by Ramey and Dumont, his works are exhibited at the Salon from 1852 until 1897. With religious, mythological or biblical subjects his sculptures generally of large dimensions are present in churches, at the Town Hall, at the Louvre Museum at the Théâtre du Châtelet...
Receiving numerous awards including a gold medal at the Salon 1889 he participated in the Universal Exhibition of 1900 and he was named officer of the Legion of Honor.
