Georges Petit was a sculptor from Liège, where he was professor at the academy of Fine Arts. From 1901 onwards he has been sculpting until 1940. His sculpture is patriotic and strongly influenced by the first World War. This small Bozzetto shows the delicate intimacy between a man and woman, with there nude bodies intertwined to form a harmonious unity.
