A rare hexagonal bipyramidal shaped Japanese powder flask lacquered in red with the emblem (mon) of the Honda clan (a Japanese family that claims descent from the medieval court noble Fujiwara no Kanemichi.) painted in gold. The powder flask is a small container for Japanese tepo guns.
