The Flight into Egypt, Spain 15th century

The Holy Virgin with the Child Jesus on a donkey on the way to Egypt to escape from the massacre of the innocents. The way the Virgin and Child is depicted is very similar to sculptures of Sedes Sapientiae (Enthroned Virgin) from the same period. Spain 15th century, probably Aragonese school. Losses (legs of the donkey, arms of the Virgin and the Child…) and wear.
