Earthenware Compotier from MARSEILLES, circular shape resting on a heel, with a contoured edge composed of twelve regular wavy lobes. Polychrome decoration in the small fire called "Fish" composed of two reefers, a pink sea bream on a bed of seaweed with a mussel and a fishing rod. On the marli, two leafy stems, one with cherries, the other with a pear. Green border, black chatironné in wolf's teeth.
Period : Second half of the 18th century (around 1775). Workshop : Gaspard ROBERT.
Very good general condition, slight chips on the edge, no restoration.
