A square gold vanity case box, the cover, sides and base in an engine-turned stripes-pattern, with a band of polished gold and set with sapphire-set motif, slightly raised thumbpiece, the interior cover set with a mirror, lipstick holder, powder compartiment signed Cartier Paris.
Since the 1930s, the greatest jewellery houses such as Cartier have all have created styles of these precious cases that have reflected trends from Art Deco, as Cubism.
