Magnificent PITCHER in hammered sterling silver decorated with hop leaves, reeds and a stork, flanked by a hammered handle applied as an applique. Japanese decor.

Goldsmith: J.E. CALDWELL was a leading jewelry and silversmith retailer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company was founded at 163 Chesnut Street Philadelphia, by watchmaker James Emmot CALDWELL in 1839.
