Very beautiful Cartel d'Applique, of violin shape, in green horn veneer.
It consists of three parts and presents a rich ornamentation of finely chased, openwork and gilded bronzes in the rocaille spirit such as: angle falls, openwork sets of fou, shells, leafy volutes, florets, cartouches and cul de lampe. z The movement, by Burgeat in Versailles,
has a dial composed of twenty-four enamelled cartouches on a chased and gilded bronze background, twelve for the hours in Roman numerals and twelve for the minutes, in increments of five, in Arabic numerals.
The case stamped by Jacques Dubois (circa 1693 - 23 October 1763), received Master on 5 September 1742.
