A pair of hexagonal-sided vases with midnight blue glaze and gold decoration of pagodas on one side and calligraphy on the other. China, Jiaqing Period (1796-1820).
This is a real original pair, but under electric lighting appears a slight difference in tone (more marine for one) which is however imperceptible in natural light.
In splendid condition except for a tiny shallow chip at the end of a handle.
