Henri-Jacques Bource was a Belgian painter, who mainly painted portraits, genre scenes and landscapes. His work was influenced by the romantic school and the Hague School.
He studied at the Royal academy of art in Antwerp with Gustaaf Wappers en Edward Dujardin.
Bource won several prizes and exhibited several times in the Paris salon from 1875 onwards. He died in 1899 at the age of 73. His work can be seen in, among others, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, the Ghent Museum of Fine Arts (Ghent) and the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague.
