Anthropomorphic vase-situla representing the head of a young Nubian. The negroid face has a pensive and melancholic expression. The curly hair is combed into small braids regularly arranged in layers. The eyes are marked by a hollow pupil.
Provenance: Former French collection of Mr. S.D., acquired from the Mariaud de Serres Gallery, 15 rue Bonaparte, Paris in the 1990s.
