Johann-Ludwig Bleuler (1792 – 1850) - Views of Switzerland

Suite of four gouache watercolors representing Swiss views and distributed as follows:
- View of Brienz, Canton of Bern;
- View of the Castle of Thoun ;
- Rechenbach waterfall with the Hotel;
- Glacier of Gindelwald, Canton Bern.

These four gouache watercolors are framed in gold leaf of exceptional quality, which were made in Lyon by Hoethfils at the Glacière in 1845.

Johann-Ludwig Bleuler (1792 - 1850) studied in Paris but then moved to Schaffhausen and the Castle of Laufen, on the banks of the Rhine Falls, where he employed artists in his workshops to supply his art business.
The set : 10'800 euros ; 3'200 euros each.
