Edmund Hermann Georg KÖRNER (1875-1940) - Darmstadt - Germany
Armchair in exotic and blackened wood; the only known example to date.
The seat simulating a curule; the lateral parts carved with gadroons finished by scrolls.
The front legs are conical, the bases and capitals swollen with motifs of rows of half-spheres in bands.
Circa 1910/12.
Upholstery (horsehair and springs) and tapestry (fabric from Lelièvre) not original.
