Very beautiful and rare ceramic slip made probably by the son, in Choisy-le-Roi but signed by the Father. Pastel colors in variations of blue, particularly neat draping of the dress, colored lace. Proud port, delicacy of attitude and beauty of body language make it a touching, almost sensual piece. Compare to La liseuse, also the father's work produced in Choisy-le-Roi. Signed A.
