Single-action, percussion, six-chambered fluted cylinder, rifled mirror barrel, manual revolver.
Solid ivory stock plates and stock ring.
Trigger guard, hammer and trigger tail are all jazzed up.
All parts at number: 5,409.
The barrel opens by means of a winged hinge allowing its tilting and thus the loading of the cylinder. The sight is in half-moon, with foliage decoration.

It is entirely covered with a decoration of foliated scrolls included in registers, damascened with gold. The finishes are on a 95% blue background. The upper part of the barrel has a calligraphic cartouche in Arabic that mentions Sultan Abdülhamid II (born in 1842 and died in 1918) and the dates of his reign as Caliph of Islam: 1876 and 1809.
A central cartouche bears the following struck letters: "Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass. U.S.A. PAT'D JAN. 17 & 24. 65. JULY 11. 65. AUG. 24. 69. APR. 20 & DEC. 18. 1877. REISSUE JULY 25. 1871. »
