4-Case Gold Lacquer Inro of Horses Decoration

Inro (medicine box) in gold lacquer (kinji) with compartments. The decor, in hira and taka maki-e lacquer, represents a fairly rare scene of horses in a meadow under pines and flowering trees with hills in the background highlighted by touches of gold in kirigane (small squares of 'gold). Some minimal wear due to age and use.
