The head, collar and legs are made of bronze, the body is made of wood, beautiful smooth brown patina.
The Ibis is one of the animal and more popular depictions of the god Thoth, god of the science of knowledge, writing and language, who was venerated throughout ancient Egypt and more particularly in Hermopolis
