Large chocolate coffee tea set 5 pieces - Goldsmith Alexandre Vaguer - 2,7 Kg

Important solid silver service in the Louis XV style with torsos ribs and richly chiselled with rocailles, shells and foliage, silver handles with foliage scrolls, in 5 pieces including: teapot, chocolate pot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and milk jug.
The whole presented on a dedicated silver plated metal tray:
Chocolate pot - Height 22,5 cm - Weight 748 gr.
Coffee pot - Height 23,5 cm - Weight 614 gr.
Teapot * - Height 18.5 cm - Weight 628 gr.
Sugar bowl - Height 16.5 cm - Weight 473 gr.
Milk jug - Height 12 cm - Weight 212 gr.
* (The teapot with a silver spout strainer / Minerva punch 1st title - Master Bésegher Gaston 1886-1923 / G.B. a dice to play, a cup underneath)

Total weight: 2,695 Kg.
(Almost the total weight of silver, just except the ebony handle of the chocolate maker)

Tray - Length (including handles) 69 cm x width 47 cm.

All pieces inscribed with the Minerva hallmark (From May 10, 1838 - First title 950 thousandth) and the master hallmark : A.Vaguer a star underneath.

Condition: all parts in very good condition, some very rare small dents or indentations, micro scratches of use without gravity, punches all present (between 2 and 5 depending on the part) and very sharp. To be noted, the silvering of the plate on the surface of the protruding edges of the basin.

End of the 19th century.
