The small chest of drawers was made in France in the 19th century in the Louis XV style and inspired by the works of Francois Linke (1855-1946). The wooden structure, smooth and curved, is entirely lacquered. The front of the cabinet has 4 drawers all of different shapes and sizes. The front of each drawer is painted with valuable and different representations of putti that fly between soft clouds and, in the lower drawer, a landscape. Each drawer is decorated with a gilded bronze frame; the golden bronze handles and door openings are distinguished by a refined chisel and rocaille designs. The wooden parts of the rest of the cabinet are lacquered in shade. In the side, inside golden bronze frames with phytomorphic designs, are painted large landscapes with architectural ruins. The dresser is further enriched by refined golden bronzes on the pillars and in the toes of the four feet. The top of the dresser, wavy and shaped, is in Breccia marble.
The excellent quality of the chisel of the bronzes as well as the refined painting that adorns this dresser give it value and particular decorative character and stage presence. It is therefore suitable to be placed in any environment, thanks to its small size and graceful structural design. It can be exhibited alongside antique furniture and just as in modern contexts.
