18th Century, Pair of Italian Walnut Wood Bedside Tables
Italy second half of the eighteenth century
This pair of bedside tables was made in Italy in the second half of the 18th century, in the period of transition from Baroque to Neoclassical Era.
The two small furniture have a structure paved and inlaid with walnut wood, burr walnut veneer in the large front, side and top space and in bois de rose for the frames, which create elegant games of colour. The top is also inlaid in the centre with a geometric and floral design.
Each bedside table has a large central door that hides the interior divided into large shelves. Small and discreet lock. The four legs are slightly moved and shaped and contribute to soften the architecture of the furniture.
They can be used as a pair of bedside tables, but they are also recommended as small commodes to be inserted in any environment of your home.
