Octogonal incense box on three feet with cover, black lacquer with lattice work in gold. Decorated with pomegranate blossom in Takamakie and inside in Nashiji.
The object probably came from the same series of a box in Marie-Antoinette’s collection, whose decoration technique, for example the golden woven in kirigane on black lacquer, based on the same design, today in collection.
