Cabinet in pine wood core, with fruitwood and exotic wood veneer, with two doors and an upper compartment.
The interior decoration of the two doors and the central door is composed of a Medici vase from which fantastical flowers (or very stylized tulips?) intertwined with foliage. The drawers have the same theme without the vases, with a frame of foliage surrounding the two doors and the separation of the nine drawers is outlined with a chapelet decoration.
The central door opens to two small drawers and the bottom is decorated with a 17th century engraving.
The upper compartment is also decorated with two 17th century engravings, one of which depicts Adam and Eve chased out of Paradise.
Beautiful engraved steel locks.
South Germany or Tyrol, 1st quarter of the 17th c.
Size of the two open doors: 1.35m wide.
