This elegant bench was made in the Lombard area (north of Italy), in the 18th century, in finely carved walnut wood.
Without backrest but with important armrests that turn towards the outside end curls adorned with carved foliage, the model of this bench is commonly called an earring. The apron has a shaped tripartite line due to the volutes convergent in the center. The bench eight legs sinuous and arched.
The seat and armrests are lined with damask fabric.
This type of bench is perfect leaning on a part between two consoles or as a seat combined with sofas, or can be proposed at the bottom of the bed. Very decorative, it can be inserted in any context of furniture, modern or antique, and in any private or representative environment.
