Offered by Brozzetti Antichità
The fine and elegant and Louis XV coffee table, made in the north of Italy (Genoa) in the 18th century, is paved with the precious violet wood characterized by a color in which the dark red alternates with purple streaks, allowing the cabinet maker to create particular colour games through the specular positioning of the grain of the wood and the inlays.
The cabinet has a sinuous line accentuated by the four arched legs, joined by a piano. On the front it has a pull-out top with a desk function and conceals, below the top, with a drop-down opening, a compartment with a particularly refined finish equal to the rest of the furniture. The original bronzes of the key lock and the toes are chiseled and gilded.
This type of table, particularly decorative for the type of wrestplanck and its size, can be placed close to the wall or, thanks to its central finish, in a living room, next to armchairs and sofas.
