Offered by Brozzetti Antichità
The important pair of three lights wall appliques is made in gilt bronze, finely chiselled with foliate decorations. It was made in France in the 19th century, inspired by the famous models of the "King's chiseller " Jacques CAFFIERI (1678-1755), the most famous bronzier of the Louis XV era and the Rocaille taste. The works of Caffieri are distinguished by the audacity, the exuberance and the high quality of realization.
These appliques are stylistically comparable to the couple of appliques of the Châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon by Caffieri.
