Very nice tea table with 2 trays. In the Asian style, each tray is carved with branches and leaves of bamboo and inlays in polylobed shaped reserves show floral decorations in finely polished mother-of-pearl.
The workmanship is of good quality with its gilded bronzes and its windings at the end of the trays characteristic of Chinese and Japanese art. The belt is finely carved as well as the feet ending in the shape of claws.
A hot iron mark on the inside of a foot attests to the work of Cabinetmaker Gabriel Viardot.
