Closed armor helmet with wrought iron crested monoxyl stamp. The mobile visor, called the mezzil, is pierced with two horizontal slots with rectangular section. The chinstrap is mobile, cut in two crescent moons. The gorgerin is wide sectioned and riveted. The ventail is pierced with small circular holes forming flowers on the left side only.
This armlet is entirely engraved with vegetal and animal motifs organized in registers. Among these figures are griffins, birds of prey, and other chimeras.
The armlet was used as a head protector from the 14th to the 16th century.
