Suzuribako in Japanese urushi lacquer. Il present a quail in a gold cage with red cord, with green sudare curtain embroidered with gold threads. A pot showing the Classic of thousand words, on an unsual background in lacquer sprinkled by eggshells. The other side of the tray showing a mother bird with its childs and shells (one in tsukegaki) on a maki-bokashi ground. The inside is decorated with golden herbs in takamakie. Complete
