Théobald Michau (Doornik 1676-Antwerp 1765) is mostly known for animated landscapes and kermess scenes painted in the style of Brueghel and Teniers.
He has his own typical style, always with nice colours and a blue bright sky.
This painting came out of a private spanish collection.
Housed in a new black 17th century style frame by Gehring Amsterdam.
