Nevers faïence bottle gourd, late 17th century

Nevers earthenware bottle-gourd, flattened in shape with a large body on a pedestal and four passers-by. Decor in shades of blue and manganese in a large fire, on one side, an animated scene representing a Chinese character in a wooded landscape. On the other side, leafy and tree-lined terraces. Foliage foliage braid and flower stems pattern
on the collar. Period: End of the 17th century.
Good general condition, small recovery at the pass, no other restoration.
Dimensions: Width: 20.3cm - Depth: 11.5cm - Height: 29cm.
