France, Louis XV period
Porcelain from the Kangxi period (1662-1722)
Chiseled, openwork and gilded bronze
Adorned with a polychrome statuette, probably from the first quarter of the 18th century, enamelled in green, ocher and brown, the inkwell rests on a chiseled, openwork and gilded bronze frame with foliage decorations of C-shaped volutes. These windings end with details of stylized plants (rushes or reeds), which accompany the domed cover decorated with leafy seed, which seems a little later.
