Marked LC in blue for Lambertus Cleffius, the owner of De Metale Pot (The Metal Pot) Factory from 1670 until 1691
The teardrop-shaped body painted on the front with a songbird in flight and another perched on a blade of grass above an exotic bird standing on a pierced rock amidst flowering plants, and on the reverse with a flowering chrysanthemum plant beneath the vine-decorated loop handle, the neck with a blossom and foliate devices above a stylized demi-ruyi-head border; mounted with a contempo- rary hinged pewter cover with the unidentified mark of a crowned rose with the caster’s initials D.P within the crown.
